El proyecto de investigación sobre el Síndrome de Burnout e Impulsividad en el Personal Docente de la Facultad Ciencias de la Salud de la Universidad Técnica de Ambato” tiene como objetivo de determinar si existe influencia entre el Síndrome de Burnout e Impulsividad en 90 docentes de la Facultad Ciencias de la Salud con un tiempo laboral superior a 5 meses. La información y los resultados se obtuvieron mediante la Escala de Impulsividad de Barratt (BIS-11) que mide la Impulsividad Cognitiva, Motora y no Planeada, también se utilizó el Cuestionario para la Evaluación del Síndrome de Quemarse en el Trabajo (CESQT) del cual se obtiene los resultados por escalas: ilusión por el trabajo, desgaste psíquico, indolencia y culpa, además se obtuvo diferentes niveles de burnout. El enfoque del presente estudio es cuantitativo, bibliográfica y de campo, con un nivel correlacional para identificar la influencia del Síndrome de Burnout en la Impulsividad de los docentes, para esto se usó el chi cuadrado ayudando a comprobar que si existe relación entre las variables, es decir a mayor nivel de burnout existe alta probabilidad de la generación de conductas impulsivas, lo cual dio validez a la hipótesis investigativa, se observó que existe mayor predominación de burnout en el género femenino a diferencia del género masculino, y que a mayor tiempo laboral existe mayor nivel de burnout.
The research Project on Burnout Syndrome and impulsiveness in teaching staff of the Faculty Sciences of the health of the University Technique of Ambato, it has as objetive to determine whether there is influence between Burnout Syndrome and impulsivity in 90 teachers fron the Faculty of Health Sciences with a working time exceeding 5 months. The information and results were obtained by the Barratt impulsiveness scale (BIS-11) that measuare impulsivity cognitive, motor, and not planning, also was used the Questionnaire for the Evaluation of the Burning at Work Syndrome (CESQT) which gets results by scales: enthusiasm for the work, psychic wear, indolence and guilt, was also ovtained different levels of burnout. The focus of the present study is quantitative, bibliographic and field, with a correlation level for identify the influence of Burnout Syndrome in the impulsiveness of the teachers, for this was used the Chi-square helping to check that if there is a relatinship between the variables, is to say to higher level of burnout, there is high probability of the generation of impulsive behavior, which gave validity to the research hypothesis, it was noted that there is a greater dominance of burnout in the female gender as opposed to the male gender, and longer working there is higher level for burnout.
