The development of the project investigate the importance of the care they should have with the newborn in order to avoid accidents, while knowing about the preventive measures that mothers should have in the process of training and development of children. The objective was to determine the management of adolescent mothers in terms of newborn caring and helping to improve the caring for the infant. Esthetical and information were documented and statistical at the health center of Saquisilí and also from the mothers who come to the indicated place. It was verified that there is a lack of knowledge about the basic care the newborn should have. The highest percentage of first-time mothers does not have a basic theoretical knowledge in the caring of the baby. This is why the primary knowledge about neonatal care should be investigated. Among the conclusions reached is that most first-time mothers have an average level of knowledge, this indicates that they are not adequately prepared to assume responsibility for caring and raising a newborn. Care is done empirically and these should be guided, by a professional, to provide caring to their newborn and thus ensure the welfare of the new being.
Con el desarrollo del proyecto se busca investigar sobre la importancia de los cuidados que deben tener con el recién nacido a fin de evitar accidentes, a la vez conocer sobre las medidas preventivas que deben tener las madres dentro del proceso de formación y desarrollo de los niños. El objetivo fue determinar el manejo que tienen las madres primerizas en lo que se refiere al cuidado del recién nacido y de esta forma ayudar a mejorar la atención al infante. Es así que se obtuvo información documentada y estadística en el centro de salud de Saquisilí y también de las madres que acuden al lugar indicado. Se comprobó que existe desconocimiento acerca de los cuidados básicos que debe tener el neonato, el mayor porcentaje de madres primerizas no poseen un conocimiento teórico practico básico en el cuidado del bebe es por ello que se investigara los conocimientos primordiales sobre el cuidado del neonato. Entre las conclusiones a las que se llegaron es que la mayoría de las madres primerizas tienen un nivel medio de conocimiento, esto indica que no se encuentran adecuadamente preparadas para asumir la responsabilidad de cuidar y criar a un recién nacido. Los cuidados se hacen empíricamente y estos deben ser orientados, guiados por un profesional, para brindar cuidados a sus recién nacidos y de esta manera garantizar el bienestar del nuevo ser.
