Diseño de un sistema de gestión ambiental basado en la norma ISO 14001:2015 para la empresa atunera ASISERVY del cantón Jaramijó

This study was conducted at Asiservy S.A., a canned tuna company located in the Jaramijó canton of Manabí province. The objective was to propose an Environmental Management System based on the ISO 14001:2015 standard to mitigate the negative impacts derived from its industrial processes. To this end, direct observation methods and interviews with key personnel were applied, which allowed for the collection of important information on its current environmental performance. As part of the analysis, the company's environmental situation was diagnosed, identifying and assessing the aspects and impacts generated by its productive activities. This assessment was conducted using qualitative and quantitative matrices based on Leopold's (1971) model, which allowed for the systematization of the data obtained. Among the most significant impacts detected are altered water quality, high water and energy consumption, emissions affecting air quality, the impact on ecological barriers, changes in the physical environment, and solid waste generation. These impacts represent environmental risks that require immediate attention through corrective and preventive measures. Based on these results, an Environmental Management System was structured in accordance with the requirements of ISO 14001:2015, providing the company with an effective tool to improve its environmental management. This proposal seeks to integrate sustainable practices into Asiservy S.A.'s operations, reduce environmental risks, and promote a more responsible and sustainable development model.
