Description
Summary:The central purpose of this research was to analyze gender equity in the working conditions of public servants at the Decentralized Autonomous Municipal Government in Chone Canton, with the aim of identifying gaps and proposing solutions that promote a more inclusive work environment. To achieve this objective, inductive, deductive, and analytical-synthetic methods were applied, combined with field, bibliographic, and descriptive research approaches. The study was developed in three phases: the first phase involved reviewing the theoretical and legal framework on gender equity and its impact on the workplace, including the analysis of legal instruments such as the Constitution of the Republic and the Organic Law of Public Service. In the second phase, an institutional diagnosis was conducted through interviews and surveys to assess working conditions and perceptions of equity among public servants. This process made it possible to identify inequalities in opportunity distribution and access to leadership positions. Finally, in the third phase, an action plan was designed with strategies aimed at reducing these gaps by promoting initiatives that ensure an equitable and discrimination-free work environment. It was concluded that structural barriers affecting gender equity persist within the Decentralized Autonomous Municipal Government of Chone, hindering the professional development of female staff; this situation calls for institutional actions that guarantee equal rights and opportunities.
