Tóm tắt: | This research was carried out during the months of October 2019 to March 2020 in the Mocache canton, Los Ríos province, Ecuador. The objective of the study was to evaluate the viability of the use of rooting agents in the clonal multiplication of robust coffee, using the technique of longitudinal division of cuttings. The experiment was established in a completely randomized design with four treatments and three repetitions. The main variables evaluated were, number of cuttings planted, percentage of seizure, height of the shoot and number of leaves. Significant statistical differences (p <0.05) were found between the treatments under study in the variables percentage of take-off and height of the shoot. The highest number of cuttings attached was evidenced in the divided shoots with the use of both rooters. T1 and T2 (Rooters 1 and 2) presented a percentage of seizure above 75% obtaining twice as many cuttings with shoots as T3 and T4 (Rooters 1 and 2). No differences were observed in the number of leaves. According to the results obtained, the division of the cuttings in the robusta coffee clonal multiplication process was viable with both rooters, due to the fact that they presented a low mortality rate, which allowed obtaining a greater number of plants, compared to the cuttings.
