The residual sludge was categorized where the methodology recommended by the Official Mexican Standard NOM-004-SERMANAT-2002 was used, carrying out chemical (Hg, Pb and Cd) and biological analyzes (fecal coliforms and helminth eggs), in addition the mixtures were determined most effective biosolids by means of a completely randomized experimental design (DCA), with 3 treatments and 4 repetitions, giving a total of 12 experimental units, the T0 consisted of placing two seeds naturally in 100% degraded soil, while T1 and T2 were carried out in a similar way, degraded soil and residual mud were used varying 30 and 60%, it was monitored for 21 days to determine the growth of the plants. Finally, the economic feasibility for the application of biosolids was established through a unit cost analysis in terms of associated costs. As a result, it was verified that the proposed hypothesis is fulfilled, that is, the sludge from the WWTP serves as biosolids for application in the forestry sector since they had positive effects on plant growth, where T2 obtained the best result, reaching the 2.38 cm, while the T0 and T1 reached up to 1.60 cm respectively. Likewise, it was corroborated through the analysis of variance (ANOVA) that there are significant differences. |

Likewise, it was corroborated through the analysis of variance (ANOVA) that there are significant differences.El presente estudio tuvo como propósito, evaluar los lodos provenientes de la planta de tratamiento de aguas residuales del cantón El Carmen como biosólidos para el sector forestal. Se categorizó el lodo residual donde se utilizó la metodología recomendada por la Norma Oficial Mexicana NOM-004-SERMANAT-2002, realizando análisis químicos (Hg, Pb y Cd) y biológicos (Coliformes fecales y Huevos de helmintos), además se determinó las mezclas más efectivas de biosólidos por medio del diseño experimental completamente al azar (DCA), con 3 tratamientos y 4 repeticiones, dando un total de 12 unidades experimentales, el T0 consistió en colocar dos semillas de forma natural en 100% de suelo degradado, mientras que el T1 y T2 se realizaron de forma análoga, se utilizó suelo degradado y lodo residual variando 30 y 60%, se monitoreó por 21 días para así determinar el crecimiento de las plantas. Por último, se estableció la factibilidad económica para la aplicación de los biosólidos mediante un análisis costo unitario en cuanto a los costos asociados. Como resultado se comprobó que la hipótesis propuesta se cumple, es decir que los lodos provenientes de la PTAR sirven como biosólidos para aplicación del sector forestal ya que tuvo efectos positivos sobre el crecimiento de las plantas, donde el T2 obtuvo el mejor resultado llegando a los 2,38 cm, mientras que los T0 y T1 llegaron hasta 1,60 cm respectivamente.
