Afegir etiqueta | Sumari: | The main objective of this work is to prepare a post-earthquake tourism development plan based on a three-phase methodology: the first phase was carried out by the tourist diagnosis, identifying the current existence of the tourism infrastructure for which information was collected from the municipal GAD and surveys were applied to owners of hotels and restaurants, the tourism demand was analyzed through a survey, thus determining the profile of the tourist as a young segment of national origin. The second phase was carried out an internal analysis using the EFI matrix where the main strengths and weaknesses were identified; External analysis allowed us to know the opportunities and threats through the use of the EFE matrix, in addition we used the weighted DAFO matrix to identify the quadrant in which Portoviejo is located, resulting in the Mini-Maxi quadrant, thus establishing reorientation strategies. For the elaboration of the last phase, the results of the previous phases were taken into account for the design of the tourism development plan based on factors such as: disaster preparedness, mitigation of impacts, evaluating infrastructure risks of the 200 existing facilities, which are currently link with tourism activity between hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, bars; in terms of recovery, it is based on strategies aimed at recovering infrastructure, sustainability and marketing; the monitoring establishes an evaluation of the post earthquake program and projects; the proposal aims to guide the recovery and improvement of tourism in the canton Portoviejo. |
