| Sammanfattning: | This research aimed to critically analyze the labor inclusion of people with disabilities within public utility companies in Portoviejo canton to determine the factors influencing this issue. The methodology implemented in this study encompassed the inductive, deductive, and analytical-synthetic methods, as well as field, bibliographic, descriptive, quantitative, and qualitative research types. Additionally, interview and survey techniques were applied using the Likert scale model. The results highlight that the factors affecting the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in Portoaguas-EP and CENEL-EP include the lack of equal opportunities for professional development, as reported by 23.45% of the surveyed personnel. Furthermore, deficiencies in hiring and promotion policies, as well as in training and development processes, were identified by 20.78%. Additionally, 19.72% indicated that an organizational culture of inclusion and respect for people with disabilities is not promoted. Moreover, 23.09% do not believe that people with disabilities have active participation in decision-making, and 20.07% stated that the institution’s infrastructure is not adapted to facilitate their labor inclusion. Based on these deficiencies, an improvement plan was established. |
