Description
Summary:In order to develop a tool that contributes to the process of pig production in Unidad de Docencia, Investigación y Vinculación Hato Porcino de la ESPAM MFL, has developed a software application adapted to the requirements of the entity. For efficient development of software, we worked with the agile development methodology Scrum; began with an analysis of the current situation of the manual procedures used to manage information for this purpose visits the herd were made, interviews were conducted to technical and became evident that this way of handling the data did not provide agile and concrete for the optimal performance of the drive way. Database was elaborated according to the information obtained, the design and coding of the application was finally processes focused on functionality were evaluated. As a result an ideal tool in the effective management of information is collected, which helps to improve decision making corrective and preventive also generates reports of births, sales, deaths, production costs, labor and inputs. Is also optimized by 45.45 % on -time data management, according to the tests applied between manual system and software. In conclusion the system improves the management of production processes, because the technicians enter the information about the pig in all its stages, it is processed and returned in the form of reports prepared for the decisions taken.
