Tag hinzufügen | Zusammenfassung: | The research aimed to evaluate the sustainability of cotton in food crop systems as an agroecological strategy, by employing methods and techniques such as observation and statistical analysis. The results showed that there are no significant differences with regard to agronomic, physiological, phytosanitary and productive variables of cotton before the other associations, therefore, in the statistical analysis it was possible to show that the association cotton + cowpea beans, had a higher yield of raw cotton and feather cotton, this being the main product and of greater commercial value. The determination of the sustainability indicators allowed to evaluate the environmental dimension of the study through the establishment of three indicators: Conservation of soil life, Risk of erosion and Management of Biodiversity and five sub-indicators: Crop diversification, Land preparation, Vegetation cover, Use of quality seed and Management of pests and diseases, this is to characterize, interpret and determine through valuation scales the minimum and maximum sustainability thresholds to statistically establish the degree of environmental sustainability of cotton cultivation. In accordance with the characterization of the environmental dimension and according to what was analyzed in the study area, the cultivation of cotton in association with cowpea beans presents a positive response in germination percentages, reaching 81.11% in terms of cotton yield, incorporated in branch with 4534.77.kg / ha and feather cotton in 1426.32 kg / ha with proportion to the other associations, being these variables determinants in the quality of production. |
