Description
Summary:Electronic commerce, also known as e-commerce, has become a fundamental tool for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) today. It gives them the opportunity to expand their businesses, reach new markets and compete more effectively in a digital environment. The research carried out in the cantons San Vicente and Sucre in Manabí Province sought to analyze Electronic Commerce in MSMEs. The research used a combination of bibliographic and field methodology, in addition, deductive, inductive and analytical-synthetic methods were applied to analyze the collected data. The techniques provided both qualitative (through the interview) and quantitative (through the survey applied to consumers) information. The results obtained revealed that 63% in San Vicente canton and 78% in Sucre canton know about electronic commerce. These results indicate that there is still some degree of improvement in the implementation of e-commerce. Based on these conclusions, an action plan was developed with strategies for MSMEs to help these companies make the most of the advantages offered by electronic commerce. It is important to highlight that the action plan was socialized with the business owners, which demonstrates their commitment to developing the advantages of the implementation of electronic commerce. In summary, this research demonstrates how e-commerce can be a valuable tool for the growth of MSMEs and essential to harness their potential in the digital market.
