Resumo: | The objective of this investigation was to determine the feed conversion in the early stage Cobb-500 broiler chickens by including shrimp cephalothorax flour in the daily diet. Shrimp cephalothorax was obtained from the shrimp company DUFFER located in Montecristi city. The Cobb-500 broiler chickens were taken from the National Genetic Company. A completely univariate randomized design was applied with three treatments T1 (38%), T2 (40%) and T3 (42%) and three repetitions. The experimental unit was 14,69 kg of shrimp cephalothorax flour. Bromatological (moisture, fiber, ash and protein), microbiological (aerobic mesophiles and Salmonella) and dietary conversion factor were evaluated using the FC = AC / PPV equation. The humidity analysis in the three treatments presented values below the allowed limit (13%), in the fiber and ash analyzes treatment 3 (42%) presented an upper value of the allowed limit (5%) and (8%), respectively. The protein analysis showed a value within the allowed limit (20%). The number of CFU / g aerobic mesophiles did not exceed the limits allowed for feed for broilers (1,2 x 106), established in the NTE INEN 1829 (1992). The feed conversion factor showed that with 38, 40 and 42% a weight gain of 1,81 was obtained; 1,82 and 1,83, respectively. It is concluded that the inclusion of shrimp cephalothorax flour efficiently influences the diet of broiler Cobb-500 chickens, increasing their weight. |
