Add Tag | Summary: | In this research we valued the cultural ecosystem service of Platanales resort of the Calceta city using the contingent method. In general, the research addressed three phases: 1) Information gathering; 2) Identification of attributes; in a key question, the people gave their ideas concerning the importance of local features, 3) Estimate the average DBH; we used R-Project 3.2.0 for the simulation of expressed DAP frequencies. A total of 369 participants in questionnaires with a 100% participation rate and a standard deviation of 13,645. We analysed quality parameters of the river water during the rainy season, most of them do not comply with the Ecuadorian legislation excluding the dry season. Five attributes were associated with the value of cultural services (energy source, recreation, landscape, gastronomy and rest). Finally, an average DAP of $1.60 per visit to the spa was obtained. This study concluded that the DAP found the age, economic income, educational level, occupation, activity that the participant enjoys the most and degree of satisfaction for using the place and that can generate an economic value of $22,200 annually. The local GAD manages the ecosystem services of the spa under a sustainable and sustainable long-term approach. |
