| Čoahkkáigeassu: | The general objective of this research is to evaluate the economic-financial situation of the tuna companies in Manta city and the incidence of Covid-19 in the period 2019-2020, for this, bibliographic, field and exploratory research was used, together, the methods were used: CAMEL, inductive-deductive, synthetic, analytical, descriptive and Delphi, among the techniques stand out: financial analysis, cash flow, interview and Kendall coefficient, in addition, there were tools such as: vertical and horizontal analysis, financial indicators, management and interview guide. To obtain the results, three methodological phases were carried out: in the first phase, an accounting-financial analysis of the tuna companies Conservas Isabel Ecuatoriana S.A., Tecopesca C.A., and Eurofish S.A., previously selected by the convenience sampling process, was carried out in the In the second phase, the CAMEL methodology was applied through the calculation of the capital and solvency, management, profitability and liquidity indicators, and, in the third phase, the behavior of the economic-financial data of the tuna companies was evaluated through the DuPont system, CSR application, and application of the interview to the managers of the entities. This investigation concludes that the health emergency that the country faced in 2020 due to Covid-19 generated a positive impact on the tuna industry due to the high labor supply and demand for canned products that companies had in said period, which allowed the tuna companies to enjoy an excellent level of liquidity, solvency, management and low indebtedness. |
