Opis
Izvleček:The purpose of this research was to strategically evaluate the Puerto López destination to determine its sustainability through tourism indicators. This study was carried out through four phases of work; Starting from a situational tourist diagnosis through the characterization sheets of attractions and communities during visits in order to know the state of conservation of its attractions, the limitations of the SISTUR, the effectiveness of public-private management and the participation of the Community within the sector. This information is condensed in a SWOT cross data matrix to subsequently propose concrete strategies. The second phase was focused on the review and selection of tourism sustainability indicators through bibliographic search, which were subsequently validated by a group of specialists using the expert analysis method, obtaining as a result 56 approved indicators. In the third part, a sociabilization and filtering of the previously approved indicators with key tourist actors in the study area was carried out, and then the data processing was done through the SPSS system. Finally, in the fourth period of work, strategic tourism guidelines are proposed based on the sustainability pillars, based on an action plan that can be measured and evaluated through tourism management indicators. As a result of this system of actions, a management tool was designed to guide future research in the evaluation of tourist destinations and be able to mediate their sustainability and transcendence.
