الملخص:Currently, public institutions are important at a global level because they offer essential services to citizens, however, they present deficiencies for the fulfillment of their proposed projects. In this context, the main objective of the research was to evaluate the job satisfaction of public servants in the Autonomous Decentralized Municipal Government of Tosagua in the period 2020 - 2021, for the strengthening of job performance. The methodology used was analytical-deductive, which was related to the documentary review, as well as through the investigative instruments applied such as; interview, survey, observation, the factors that affect job satisfaction and performance were determined and selected. The most relevant results show the lack of evaluation of job satisfaction, poor motivation on the part of the boss, little professional training, poor communication between colleagues. It is concluded that there is a need to implement an improvement plan focused on administrative management tools, professional updating, motivational talks for the work team, all with the purpose of mitigating these problems that directly affect the human talent of the institution.
