Shrnutí:Higher Education Institutions (IES) generally show problems in the management of their processes, which causes difficulties to fulfill institutional purposes and goals; Ecuadorian universities are currently trying to mitigate these negative aspects that affect their actions. Under this approach, the present study is carried out with the objective of proposing improvements to the associated processes of the linking substantive function of the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí "Manuel Félix López", which contribute to increase the services quality. Methods were used to carry out the investigation, which served to guide the work, with the help of observation techniques to know its reality, also interviews were carried out to obtain key information with the pertinent authorities, and the methodology of Value Analysis was applied. Added in several work sessions with the help of those involved and later the improvement proposal was designed to socialize it with the interested parties. Thanks to the actions previously carried out, the following results were obtained: failures in the crossing of documentation, inappropriate internal communication, duplication of activities, inconsistencies with current regulations and discrepancies in certain procedures. Deficiencies in the process were also evidenced with an added value (VA) of 29.33%, being below what is required, data that was essential for the design of the proposal where it was possible to optimize activities, unify processes, reduce times, with a VA of 45.71%, achieving an increase of 17.38%; values that were socialized to those responsible.
