For this purpose, three phases were established: Diagnosis of the environmental situation of non-hazardous solid waste of the Agricultural Engineering career, in this case a review of the current regulations was carried out, and then gave way to the application of a interview with the career director and a survey of Agrícola students, ending with the identification of waste generation areas within the career facilities. Characterization of non-hazardous solid waste, for which it began with the location of strategic containers in the different areas of the race, for the subsequent collection and weighing of the waste, data that later made it possible to calculate the per capita production. Design of an Environmental Management Plan for the non-hazardous solid waste of the career, which consists of three programs: Solid Waste Management, Communication and Environmental Training and Follow-up, Control and Monitoring. As results it was obtained that the weekly per capita production is: plastic 0.0404 kg * inhab / day; cardboard 0.0017kg * hab / day; paper 0.0018 kg * inhab / day and glass 0.0023 kg * inhab / day. Concluding that, it is essential to train the student community on the management and final disposal of solid waste, so that it can contribute to the proper management of the same. |

Concluding that, it is essential to train the student community on the management and final disposal of solid waste, so that it can contribute to the proper management of the same.La presente investigación se realizó en la carrera de Ingeniería Agrícola de la ESPAM “MFL”, sitio “El Limón”, cantón Bolívar, provincia de Manabí; misma que tiene como propósito determinar la cantidad de residuos sólidos inorgánicos no peligrosos generados en dicha carrera. Para su efecto, se establecieron tres fases: Diagnóstico de la situación ambiental de los residuos sólidos no peligrosos de la carrera de Ingeniería Agrícola, en este caso se procedió a realizar la revisión de la normativa vigente, para luego dar paso a la aplicación de una entrevista al director de carrera y una encuesta a los estudiantes de Agrícola, finalizando con la identificación de las áreas de generación de residuos dentro de las instalaciones de la carrera. Caracterización de los residuos sólidos no peligrosos, para lo cual se inició con la ubicación de recipientes estratégicos en las diferentes áreas de la carrera, para la posterior recolección y pesado de los residuos, datos que luego permitieron calcular la producción per cápita. Además del Diseño de un Plan de Manejo Ambiental para los residuos sólidos no peligrosos, el cual consta de tres programas: Manejo de Residuos Sólidos, Comunicación y Capacitación Ambiental y Seguimiento, Control y Monitoreo. Como resultados se obtuvo que, la producción per cápita semanal es: plástico 0,0404 kg*hab/día; cartón 0,0017kg*hab/día; papel 0,0018 kg*hab/día y vidrio 0,0023 kg*hab/día.
