Plan de ordenamiento turístico para el desarrollo de las parroquias rurales del cantón Chone: Convento y Chibunga

The objective of this investigation was to design a tourism planning plan for the development of the rural parishes Convento and Chibunga in Chone canton, applying a qualitative methodology with a descriptive exploratory approach, this design was structured in four phases where in the first phase carried out a strategic situational diagnosis in Convento and Chibunga parishes, in the second phase the main characteristics and tourist sites of the area were identified in order to measure the tourist potential of the territory. Within the third phase, a multidimensional analysis of the study area was carried out in order to know the main weaknesses and problems of the tourism system. Finally, in the fourth phase it was possible to design a structure that allows the tourist planning of the territory with the vision of marketing products with territorial identity. Among the main results of this research is the current state of the parishes in aspects such as basic services and economy, together with the application of the survey which determined the interest of the population in developing tourism and knowing the relationship between community and regulatory entities of the territory, the main weaknesses and problems of the tourism system are the limited planning and economic resources for the development of tourism and the insufficiency of basic services. The key element of the proposal is the commercialization of products with territorial identity that contribute to the local development of the parishes of Convento and Chibunga.
