总结:Currently the management in organizations is ever more related to the conceptualization of processes, used as a fundamental element to facilitate the orientation of functions, reducing time and costs, whose main objective is to offer a final product or service of quality. This work is addressed to contribute to the improvement of the management process in research, development and innovation (R+D+i) projects of ESPAM MFL, using for this purpose the methodology proposed by William E. Trischler that consists in the Value Added Analysis (VAA) of the processes, whereby the scientific observation of the documents and the regulations applied in the R & D & I was carried out, a part of interviews with the personnel involved in them; with the information gathered from some sources, the flow chart of the process under study was developed using the AS-IS technique (as it is). By applying the VAA with the experts' criteria and through four working sessions, it could show that most tasks in the process involved preparation and movement, adding up to a value-added index (VAI) very low and disabled. In conclusion, it is pointed out that with the implementation of the improvement plan to the process, unnecessary activities are reduced, also value-adding activities are increased and those indispensable for their development are optimized, in this way is obtained a VAI increase in the management of R+D+i projects, which favors the institutional research system.
