Evaluación de los niveles de ruido en el casco urbano del cantón Junín, provincia de Manabí

Noise pollution is the second environmental problem after air pollution. The purpose of this research was to evaluate the noise levels in the urban case of the Junín canton through a descriptive investigation; The methods used were inductive, hypothetical and exploratory, the techniques applied were direct observation, surveys and data collection to determine the level of the problem. Noise levels were evaluated at three points in the city: Av. 10 de Agosto, Eloy Alfaro and Miguel Boris. According to the data obtained in the surveys, the Junín canton is affected by the proliferation of noise, resulting in problems such as attention deficit, headaches, stress, loss of sleep and, to a lesser extent, hearing loss. At the sampling points, noise levels ranging from 70 to 90 dB were recorded, data that exceeded the permissible limits according to the TULSMA, the most affected road being Eloy Alfaro and Miguel Boris avenues, this is due to the fact that these avenues are the most used in vehicular traffic and in addition to being commercial areas where traffic is daily; the hour with the greatest influence of noise is in the afternoon (16: 00-17: 00 pm). In order to meet the last objective, a mitigation proposal was developed to implement ordinances that allow sanctioning of users who emit noise levels that exceed the maximum permissible limits.
