Evaluación de los niveles de hormona antimülleriana sobre la dinámica folicular en el ciclo estral en vacas brahman jóvenes y adultas

Shrnutí: | The present investigation consisted of evaluating the relationship between the levels of the Antimüllerian Hormone (AMH) and the follicular dynamics in Brahman cows (N = 20) of different ages (<5 and ≥8 years). 5 mL of Blood was removed from all the cows by jugular puncture. For experimental reasons AMH levels were subdivided into ranges of 100-200, 200-300 and 300-400 ρg / mL. All data was analyzed using InfoStat (2017) and the variables using ANOVA with a P <0.05, and correlated by Pearson's analysis. Regression analysis between AMH levels and total number of follicles and number of follicles from 2 to 4 mm showed no significant differences (P = 0.71), (P = 0.69) respectively. A relationship was found between the total number of follicles and AMH levels (P = 0.02). In addition, significant differences were found between the number of follicles from 2 to 4 mm and the ages by AMH range (P = 0.02). In cows under 5 years with high levels of AMH (300 to 400 ρg / mL) the greatest number of follicles of 2 to 4 mm was found. On the other hand, the luteal bodies were larger in cows older than 8 years (8.65 mm ± 1.63; P = 0.04) when considering cows with average AMH levels (200-300 ρg / mL). It is concluded that AMH levels represent a good indicator of the number of follicles in young Brahman cows, but not in cows older than 8 years. |
