Achoimre:The present study was developed with the objective of evaluating the effect of natural extracts and probiotics on zootechnical and economic parameters in COBB 500 chickens. For its development, a completely randomized experimental design (CRD) was used under a 2x2 factorial arrangement involving factor A with the addition of natural extract of ginger (Zingiber officinale), alfalfa chlorophyll (Medicago sativa) and garlic (Allium sativum) and Factor B with comercial probiotic Lactopharm®, under assumptions of analysis of variance (Anova), normality of errors (Shapiro Wilk), homogeneity of variance (Levene) and comparison of averages (Tukey) at 5%, which were able to determine the behavior of the estimated variables through the variations of treatments. The results determine that there was no influence of the treatments on the length of the intestine; however, T4 presents better relative weights of the intestine of the birds. Regarding the zootechnical parameters, the treatments did not influence the feed consumption and mortality of the birds; however, greater weekly weight gain and feed conversion were obtained by T2 and T4; in terms of cost-benefit, the most viable treatment is T2, since it obtained the greatest economic Benefit and presented better parameters in terms of weight gain and feed conversion. It is concluded that the use of natural extracts in combination with probiotics is an alternative for the improvement of zootechnical parameters in COBB 500 chickens.
