Descrição
Resumo:This research was aimed to evaluate the feasibility of expanding Ander Beer, a microenterprise dedicated to craft beer production in the city of Calceta, Bolívar Canton, Manabí Province. The methodology focused on a market analysis that included demand projections, a re-engineering of the production process, and an assessment of economic and financial viability, as well as environmental impact. The market study results demonstrated a growing demand in Bolívar Canton. Through the re-engineering proposal, it is aimed to increase the monthly production capacity gradually from 350 L to 1600 L, reaching full capacity by the third year with the implementation of a 180 m² plant and the acquisition of new equipment. The financial indicators of the project demonstrated its feasibility, as the Net Present Value (NPV) was $21,818.15, highlighting Ander Beer's favorable market position. The IRR (Internal Rate of Return) was 17.29%, exceeding the discount rate of 12%. And as for the cost-benefit ratio, a value of 2.06 was obtained with a payback period of 3.46 years. The total sum of impacts (-122 / +225) and the average (-2.5 / +3.8) indicated that, despite existing notable adverse impacts (especially regarding water and waste), the socioeconomic and operational benefits compensate for these effects. The study confirms that the expansion is viable, allowing the optimization of production processes and strengthening the microenterprise's competitiveness in a sustainable manner.
