| Résumé: | The general objective of this research was to propose strategies for the management of used tires in the vulcanizing service centers in Calceta city, Bolívar canton; for which a diagnosis of the current situation of the generation of used tires was carried out, through an 8-week control and surveys of establishment owners. Subsequently, a legal checklist was made taking Ministerial Agreement 098 as a reference, establishing an instructional guide with management strategies for tires used in vulcanizers, through a bibliographic review. It was determined that there are 3 vulcanizers in Calceta city, which discard a monthly average of 425 tires. In the checklist carried out, it was observed that the establishments do not comply with the environmental regulations regarding the management of used tires, since they do not have a manager responsible for the management of out-of-use "NFU" tires. It is concluded that of the 3 vulcanizers identified; the one that presented the greatest number of used tires was the “Calceta” vulcanizer with 379 units, followed by the “21 Dedos” vulcanizer with 246 units and with a lower generation the “El Maestro” vulcanizer with 225 units, therefore, it is extremely important to implement a collection center for the storage of out-of-use tires and the application of strategies for their reuse. |
