The experimental hybrids outperformed the commercial ones in traits such as plant height, reaching 3003.33 cm (PORT.PHAEO.1AS2. 4-1-1-1 X CLYN-352), and ear insertion height, reaching 139 cm (CML-437 X L.I.4). |

La investigación que se realizó fue experimental, cualitativa y cuantitativa, en el experimento se utilizó el cultivo de maíz amarillo duro. Siendo así que de los 15 híbridos experimentales y comerciales de maíz amarillo duro tuvieron mayores resultados en los componentes agronómicos y en la variable porcentaje en grano los híbridos comerciales tuvieron mejor resultados, siendo el híbrido comercial TRUENO con 86.7% en promedio de granos. Los híbridos experimentales tuvieron mejores resultados que los híbridos comerciales, como en la altura de planta con 3003.33 cm. (PORT.PHAEO.1AS2. 4-1-1-1 X CLYN-352) y altura de inserción de la mazorca con 139 cm.
