Yhteenveto: | The research focused on the determination of the biological quality of the wetland La segua, by identifying the ichthyofauna present at the study site. It was performed as non-experimental research, with documentary and descriptive methods, observation and survey techniques were applied. The socioeconomic activities and pollution sources of the area, the physical and taxonomic classification of individuals and the calculation of the Biotic Integrity Index were described and analyzed as a necessary methodological tool for the evaluation of ecosystem degradation. Monitoring was done by establishing six sampling stations with three replicates in each during the dry season. The results identified that in the wetland, the main economic activity is artisanal fishing, using manual methods of trawling, trasmallos and fences of bamboo and five pockets of pollution summarized in: shrimp and inadequately functioning concrete plant, crops Vegetables, and cereals such as corn, rice with excessive use of agrochemicals and overgrazing of cattle. Samples identified five species (Oreochromis niloticus, Oreochromis monzabica, Hoplias microlepis, Pseudocurimata boulengeri, Aequidens rivul) distributed in four families and grouped into four orders; The most representative species was the Oreochromis monzabica with 7395 individuals and the smaller Aequidens rivulatus with 32 individuals. We conclude that the samples reflected moderate to low quality (Shannon-Wiener) and poor biological integrity. |
