| description | The objective of this research was to study the effect of several sources and doses of nitrogen on the yield and profitability of corn cultivation, under conditions of the valley of the Carrizal river which was developed in experimental lots of the polytechnic campus of the ESPAM-MFL, located in the El Limón site belonging to Cantón Bolívar, Manabí. Therefore, four sources of nitrogen fertilizers were evaluated: Yara Vera Amidas, Novatec 45, green Urea and common Urea, with different levels: 100 kg ha-1, 200 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1, to which we include a witness with omission of nitrogen. A randomized complete block design (DBCA) was established in factorial arrangement A x B + 1 with three replicates per treatment, where factor A was assigned nitrogen sources and factor B nitrogen doses. The combination of sources and doses of N and replicates make up a total of 39 experimental units. The results showed that the treatment T9 (Green Urea 300 kg ha-1) achieved the highest results in terms of net profit reaching the 1939.53 USD ha-1 with an increase in yield of 111.04 qq ha-1 demonstrating its effectiveness against the other treatments contrasted with the control with omission of nitrogen. |

Por lo consiguiente se evaluaron cuatro fuentes de fertilizantes nitrogenados: Yara Vera Amidas, Novatec 45, Urea verde y Urea común, con diferentes niveles: 100 kg ha-1, 200 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1, a los cuales se le incluyó un testigo con omisión de nitrógeno. Se estableció un diseño de bloques completos al azar (DBCA) en arreglo factorial A x B + 1 con tres replicas por tratamiento, donde al factor A se le asignaron las fuentes de nitrógeno y al factor B las dosis de nitrógeno. La combinación de fuentes y dosis de N y las réplicas conforman en total 39 unidades experimentales.
