Tóm tắt:The present investigation was carried out in the coffee farm of Pedro Mora, in Bajo Grande community, Bolívar, Manabí, between February and September of 2017, in an experiment with in completely random design of eight treatments and three repetitions. The objectives were to: identify the appropriate alternative for the capture of fruit borer in coffee plantations in Bolívar Canton, Manabí and establish the economic benefits of the ethological control alternatives to the coffee borer. The treatments evaluated were: mixture of alcohols (methyl 3 + ethyl), mixture of alcohols + roasted and ground coffee, mixture of alcohols + roasted and ground coffee + panela, mixture of alcohols + roasted and ground coffee + vanilla essence, toasted and ground, brandy + roasted and ground coffee + panela, mixture of alcohols + roasted and ground coffee + vanilla essence, brandy + soluble coffee. The results of the experiment allowed to determine that the use of handcrafted traps for the monitoring and capture of fruit borer in coffee plantations of the Bolivar canton was effective, the treatment based on brandy + roasted and ground coffee + resulted in a statistically more effective (p <0.01) for the capture of female adult drills, with an average of 25 insects / trap. The treatments that included aguardiente in the preparation of the traps were the ones of less cost.
