Inclusión laboral de las personas con discapacidad en las empresas públicas de servicios básicos en el cantón Chone

The objective of this study was to analyze the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in the public administration of basic services in Chone canton to improve the conditions for this vulnerable group. The methodology used included inductive, deductive and analytical-synthetic methods, in addition to the types of mixed, bibliographic and field research, in which interview and survey techniques were applied. The results reveal that, despite the existence of laws such as the Organic Law on Disabilities, which prohibit discrimination and establish employment quotas for people with disabilities, the effective implementation of these regulations remains a challenge. Furthermore, there is a high percentage of people with disabilities employed in these companies who feel dissatisfied with their working conditions, due to the lack of accessibility and adequate adaptations in the workplace. Finally, an improvement plan is proposed that includes specific actions to increase labor inclusion, such as training of employers and employees, improvements in infrastructure to guarantee accessibility, and the creation of internal policies that promote an inclusive work environment.
