| Summary: | The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of acaricides on the production of pepper crops in the Carrizal River valley. The research was carried out in the nursery of the Agricultural Engineering Major at ESPAM-MFL, located at El Limón site belonging to Bolívar canton, Manabí province. A complete randomized design (RCD) was used. The experiment was made up of 20 experimental units distributed in four replicates and five treatments. Each experimental unit was made up of 10 containers of 5 kg capacity. The acaricides that were evaluated were: Abamectin (T1), Spiromesifen (T2), Hexytizox (T3) and Propargite (T4). With doses of 1ml/L for liquid acaricides and 1gr/L for solid acaricides. Based on these acaricides, phytosanitary and production variables were evaluated. Harvesting and data collection were carried out after 60 days. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed using the Tukey0.05 test. At the end of the evaluations, the treatments that showed the greatest effect on the infestation and severity of damage of the white mite in the pepper crop were T4 (Propargite) and T2 (Spiromesifen) and this last acaricide reduced the incidence of P. latus, increasing production (Kg/package). |
