Shrnutí:In the sugar industry, the liquid effluents from the ethanol production process, such as vinasse, have the potential to be used in anaerobic digestion due to the amount of organic matter it contains. In this investigation an experimental DCA-unifactorial design was performed at laboratory scale around the SV concentration with 5 levels and 3 repetitions. In a total of 15 batch digesters, inoculum and the required concentration of vinasse in dilution as substrate were introduced for 21 days. The purpose is to evaluate the production of biogas and methane in relation to the SV and COD content. It was determined that the treatment (T5) had a higher production of biogas of 2.87 L and methane 1.52 L, representing 51.9% of its composition. This is because the inoculum was previously adapted with concentrated vinasse. It was demostrated that vinasse can be use due to its potential to produce biogas and that the treatment contributes to the reduction of the environmental impact caused by the sugar industry.
