Shrnutí:This research was carried out with the objective of diagnosing the organizational culture of public servants of the Autonomous Decentralized Government (GAD) of the Flavio Alfaro canton for the improvement of work performance. In addition, scientific theories were established that provided support in the research, as well as the descriptive and analytical methods that allowed the efficient development of the actions under study, also, through the interview carried out with the highest authority of the canton it was possible to verify the current situation of the organizational culture perceived by the administrative staff of the institution. Similarly, the survey was applied to 70 public servants, whose main results were; the lack of continuous training to develop knowledge and skills of public employees, managers sometimes do not provide the necessary information to carry out institutional tasks, little organizational culture. With the results obtained previously it is concluded that; Scientific information on organizational culture helped to design a matrix on the behavior of workers who hold public office, likewise, there is a large percentage of motivated and motivated personnel in the performance of corresponding functions, and, finally, strategies were proposed to improve job performance for everyone involved.
