| description | The present research aims the design of a typical manabita gastronomic circuit in Chone canton; the theoretical framework was elaborated to endorse the study. The methodology applied consists of four phases, first phase elaborated the tourist diagnosis in which there were identified the tourist potential attractions; the current situation of the manabita gastronomy and the quality of tourist infrastructure in the canton was inventory and analyzed with a SWOT matrix. During the development the second phase profiled the visitor identifying the characteristics of the demand and tourist offering. Third phase designed the gastronomic circuit created in order to adapt the needs, interest and expectations of potential tourist. Later, strategies for commercialization were established by means of distribution channels where the gastronomic circuit will be promoted. This type of activities incite the socioeconomic development of the canton and improve the quality of life of their citizens. |

This type of activities incite the socioeconomic development of the canton and improve the quality of life of their citizens.La presente tesis es el resultado de la investigación de campo realizada en el cantón Chone y tiene como objetivo principal diseñar un circuito gastronómico de la comida típica manabita que contribuya en el desarrollo turístico del cantón Chone, teniendo en consideración el potencial del recurso gastronómico en el ámbito turístico, para lo cual se elaboró el marco teórico que plantea conceptos que respaldan el estudio. La metodología desarrollada en la investigación consta de cuatro fases, en la primera fase se elaboró el diagnóstico turístico donde se identificó los recursos y atractivos turísticos potenciales, la situación actual de la gastronomía manabita, la calidad de infraestructura turística del cantón para la recopilación de dicha información se utilizó fichas de inventario turístico y análisis estratégico FODA. Durante el desarrollo de la segunda fase se realizó el estudio del mercado estableciendo el perfil del visitante identificando las características de la demanda y la oferta turística. En la tercera fase de la investigación se diseñó el circuito gastronómico adaptado a las necesidades, interés y expectativas del turista potencial como se determinó en el estudio del mercado. En la cuarta fase de Gestión de la Comercialización del producto se planteó estrategias de comercialización del producto turístico y se establecieron los medios de canales de distribución por los cuales el circuito gastronómico será promocionado para que tenga acogida.
