The concentration of cadmium, lead, chromium and mercury in the soft tissue was determined using the ICP-OES technique, the Pearson coefficient was calculated between the physicochemical parameters of the water and sediment vs. the levels of the evaluated metals. The average concentrations of lead (Sampling (May)= 0.95 mg/kg, Sampling (July) =1.48 mg/kg, Sampling (August) = 1.26); and mercury (Sampling (May) = 0.0016, Sampling (July) = 0.0096, Sampling (August) = 0.073) did not exceed the maximum permissible ranges of the European Regulations, except for cadmium (Sampling (May) = 7.51 mg/kg, Sampling (July)= 6.84 mg/kg, Sampling (August)= 6.47 mg/kg). On the other hand, the average values of chromium (Sampling (May)= 0.94 mg/kg, Sampling (July)= 1.90 mg/kg, Sampling (August)= 2.41) are below the maximum permissible limits established by the National Reserve Council of Canada. Likewise, the physicochemical parameters of the water and sediment did not exceed the criteria contemplated, observing thatthey do not correlate with the concentrations of heavy metals. Itis concluded thatthe concentrations of lead, chromium and mercury in the soft tissue of bivalves do not generate an impact on biodiversity in the protected area; while the levels of cadmium found tend to impact biodiversity. |

La concentración de cadmio, plomo, cromo y mercurio en el tejido blando se determinó mediante la técnica ICP-OES, se calculó el coeficiente de Pearson entre los parámetros fisicoquímicos del agua y sedimento vs los niveles de los metales evaluados. Las concentraciones promedio de plomo (Muestreo (mayo)= 0.95 mg/kg, Muestreo (julio) =1.48 mg/kg, Muestreo (agosto) = 1.26); y mercurio (Muestreo (mayo) =0.0016, Muestreo (julio) = 0.0096, Muestreo (agosto)= 0.073) no sobrepasaron los rangos máximos permisibles de la Normativa Europea a excepción del cadmio (Muestreo (mayo)= 7.51 mg/kg, Muestreo (julio)= 6.84 mg/kg, Muestreo (agosto)= 6.47 mg/kg). Por otra parte, los valores promedio de cromo (Muestreo (mayo)= 0.94 mg/kg, Muestreo (julio)= 1.90 mg/kg, Muestreo (agosto)= 2.41) se encuentra por debajo de los límites máximos permisibles establecidos de la National Reserth Council of Canadá. Asi mismo, los parámetros fisicoquímicos del agua y sedimento, no excedieron los criterios contemplados, observándose que no tienen correlación con las concentraciones de los metales pesados.
