Résumé: | Through this research, the efficiency of the polyelectrolyte of the moringa (Moringa oleífera) and shrimp chitosan (Litopenaeus vannamei) seed as a coagulant-flocculant substance in wastewater treatment of Bolívar canton slaughterhouse was evaluated. For this, the jar test was used by adding predetermined doses of the mentioned polymers, the moringa polyelectrolyte was obtained by crushing the seed and its subsequent sieving by an extraction process with saline solution; and chitosan was obtained by demineralization, deproteinization and deacetylation processes respectively. A completely randomized design was applied in a unifactorial arrangement where four treatments with four replications were proposed, the following variables were analyzed: color, suspended solids and turbidity before and after the application of the polymers in order to calculate the percentage of removal obtained of each parameter. The initial wastewater showed values of 526 Pt / Co with respect to color, while suspended solids and turbidity yielded values of 330 mg / l and 17 NTU respectively. The results obtained showed that T2 (4g chitosan and 4 ml moringa polyelectrolyte) obtained better results both in color removal and in removal of suspended solids and turbidity with percentages of 43%, 83% and 23% respectively, so in this type of water can be carried out activities for agricultural purposes; the hypothesis is rejected since none of the variables except color presented a significant difference in each of its treatments. |
