| Резюме: | The use of fish-based biostimulant is recent, and in corn it has not been widely studied. The objective of the work was to evaluate the effectiveness of a liquid fish biostimulant on the growth and yield of hard yellow corn. Factorial treatments of two forms of application (foliar and soaked) and four doses (5, 10, 15 and 20 mL L-1 of water) were evaluated, plus a control treatment. Plant height (AP), stem diameter (DT), leaf area (AF), ear length (LM), ear diameter (DM), grain weight per ear (PGM), thousand grain weight were measured. (PMG) and grain yield (RG). The data were analyzed with ANOVA and Tukey's test (α = 0.05). No significant differences were detected (p>0.05) for the doses and forms of application evaluated. However, the orthogonal comparison between the average of the biostimulant vs. the control treatment does detect significant statistical differences (p<0.05), so all the variables evaluated under the effect of the biostimulant showed significant increases in relation to the control treatment. The RG variable was 33.96% higher in the treatments with fish biostimulant, compared to the control treatment. Under the conditions where the experiment was developed, it is recommended to use the minimum dose of 5 mL of biostimulant L-1 of water to enhance the growth and yield of hard yellow corn. |
