| Shrnutí: | The research objective was to evaluate the ichthyofauna as a biological indicator of water quality in La Laguna de Cube - Quinindé wetland. It was executed as non-experimental research, with the documentary and descriptive methods, the observation and survey techniques were applied. We described and analyzed the socio-environmental and economic activities and the area pollution sources, the physical and taxonomic classification of the identified individuals and finally the calculation of the Biological Integrity Index. The monitoring was carried out through the establishment of eight sampling stations with three repetitions each, during the dry season. The results identified that in the wetland the main economic activities are Agriculture and Livestock, three sources of contamination were established: the solid waste dump in the Y of the laguna estuary, the deforestation in the headwaters of the estuaries and riverbanks of the wetland and the use of agrochemicals. The samplings projected three species (Oreochromis niloticus (Tilapia), Moenkhausia sp. (sardinite), Cichlasoma dimerus (old common), distributed in three families and grouped in three orders. The most representative was the Oreochromis niloticus with 1980 individuals and the least representative the Cichlasoma dimerus with 340. It is concluded that the samplings reflected a low quality (Shannon-Wiener) between 1.51 in station E and 1.19 in station A and a very poor biological integrity of 16 in stations A, C, E, G, and H and 18 in stations B, D and F. |
