Izvleček:The present research aimed to develop a vehicle access control system to automate the management of vehicle entry and exit at the Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Provincial Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. To achieve this, a license plate recognition algorithm was implemented, providing precise and efficient real-time vehicle identification. An intuitive and accessible user interface was developed to facilitate system configuration, monitoring, and management. Additionally, cameras and supporting technology were integrated to capture license plate images with clarity and accuracy. The methodology included system testing under both simulated and real scenarios, with a requirement that the license plate recognition success rate exceed 95%, ensuring effectiveness. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in vehicle access control, with high accuracy in plate identification. In conclusion, the successful implementation of this system increased the efficiency of vehicle traffic management at GADP-SDT facilities, providing an effective and reliable solution for vehicle access control.
