Περίληψη:The objective of this research was to evaluate the level of knowledge regarding issues on environmental management of water resources, in students from educational centers in the Junín canton, Manabí. The methods applied were qualitative and quantitative and of participatory action, later observation techniques and question tests were used to evaluate the study variables. The first phase consisted of diagnosing the level of knowledge of the students on issues related to the management of water resources. In the second phase, the scheme of the environmental training plan was implemented applying the LEARNING- DOING methodology and the final environmental knowledge was assessed. Finally, in the third phase, the effect of gender, age, socioeconomic level, location, and housing condition on students' environmental knowledge was analyzed. As a result, it was detected that the initial environmental knowledge was 82 % for the bad category, 14 % good and only 4 % Excellent, and after having applied the environmental education strategy, an increase of 47 % in the category was obtained. category of Excellent and 53 % in the category of Good. The statistical study revealed that women and older students achieved the best grades, as well as those who have a medium socioeconomic level, live in urban areas and have their own homes. It is concluded that the LEARNING-DOING methodology arouses a significant interest in the participants and influences the learning of the topics taught.
