That is why, based on the foregoing, it is known that the purpose of this investigative process lies in evaluating the impact of the COVID-19 health emergency on the job performance of public servants of the Municipal Autonomous Decentralized Government in Junín canton, in the period 2020-2021. To meet the objective set in this research and its scientific strengthening, it was necessary to apply the inductive, deductive and analytical-synthetic method, likewise, bibliographic, field and descriptive research techniques were used, on the other hand, Several investigative instruments were used, such as the interview with the mayor of the canton, likewise, a survey was applied to the public servants of the GAD Junín, in order to obtain primary data that allows knowing in greater detail the existing problems within the institution, in this way, it was also possible to carry out an evaluation of the possible strategies that can be adhered to the administrative, institutional and evaluative processes that apply. That is why, through the improvement proposal, it was sought to propose solutions on the shortcomings and errors that arose in the organization that were evidenced in this investigation. |

Por otra parte, el desempeño laboral es conocido como aquel parámetro que permite evaluar el rendimiento, el comportamiento y la calidad del trabajo de los miembros de una institución. Es por eso, que, con base en lo expuesto anteriormente, se conoce que el propósito de este proceso investigativo reside en evaluar el impacto de la emergencia sanitaria de la COVID-19 en el desempeño laboral de los servidores públicos del Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado Municipal del cantón Junín, en el período 2020-2021. Para cumplir con el objetivo planteado en esta investigación y el fortalecimiento científico de la misma, fue necesario aplicar el método inductivo, deductivo y analítico-sintético, así mismo, se emplearon las técnicas de investigación bibliográfica, de campo y descriptiva, por otra parte, se emplearon varios instrumentos investigativos, como la entrevista realizada al burgomaestre del cantón, así mismo, se aplicó una encuesta a los servidores públicos del GAD Junín, con el fin de obtener datos primarios que permitan conocer con mayor detalle la problemática existente dentro de la institución, de esta manera, se pudo también realizar una evaluación sobre las posibles estrategias que se pueden adherir a los procesos administrativos, institucionales y evaluativos que aplican.
