Implementación de una eco-parada para el área agroindustrial de la Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí "MF"

The investigation had as a goal the implementation of an ecological bus station (eco-bus stop) for the Agroindustrial area in the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí, with eco-friendly characteristics for the environment. Before designing the model it was possible to determinate the operational feasibility by a survey to the students community of the agroindustrial area, for which it was required the population sample. Given as results that from 274 surveyed students, the 97% considered that the installation of public furniture is required, the staff of Planning Directorate of the institution also considers that the implementation of this type of works is necessary. Also the economic feasibility was determined for which a comparison of "cost and benefit" with a traditional bus stop was made, resulting in favor of the eco-stop with a cost of $1569,60 dollars. For the design, the characteristics and properties of the ecological materials were investigated, as was the guadua cane for the structure of the construction and the rice´s husk as cement additive; to supply the lighting it will be used equipment with solar panels, it was determined that the size required of the solar panel is about 120 Watts. Subsequently its location was defined, (near of the traffic circle of the Ingeniería Ambiental career), the design was revised, modified and accepted by the Planning Department staff of the institution. With the implementation of the ecological bus stop students of the agroindustrial sector will have a public furniture that provides comfort, security, shade and lighting.
