Izvleček: | This research had as objective to determine the socio-environmental impacts that has generated the resettlement in the inhabitants of "Garden City". The theoretical framework was elaborated as reference to base the object of study. From a qualitative-inductive approach. The interviews and systematization techniques allowed to know the facts raised prior to the resettlement, the matrix of involved was realized identifying and evaluating to the actors involved in the project, evidencing two types of actors: the allies (SENAGUA, Strategic Ecuador and GAD Municipal) and the critics (resettled and evicted). A socio-environmental impact assessment was carried out in the "Garden City" through a matrix, with eleven impacts of which two are positive (housing construction in the urbanization style and resettled and surrounding population receives treated water for consumption) and nine negatives (There are no recreational areas, no cultural recreational activities, increased stress and related diseases, no land to grow the products and no exercise of their trade and knowledge). Six have high magnitude, high probability, high social consequence (urban housing styles); two have medium criteria (they have no place to exercise their trade and knowledge); and only one has low (receive drinking water and have to pay for this service). Finally, we propose the revaluation of the social fabric through a communication plan where awareness meetings, educational and religious talks, house-to-house visits to promote effective relationships and last weekly reports of leaders. |
