The evaluation of these indicators consists of three phases. The first consisted of a situational diagnosis, where the official documents were reviewed in order to determine the current status of the wetland, and subsequent selection of indicators suitable for the study area as well as surveys of the communities near its area of influence to determine the degree of partition and the interest within the tourist activity in the attractiveness; in the same way, interviews with the GAD of Chone, Tosagua and the Parochial Board of San Antonio to determine which are the institutional regulations that are used, actions or activities that they develop to preserve it and take advantage of it touristically; Indicators were applied identifying and defining priority areas and problems of attractiveness in which work should be carried out in this way. The aim is to develop strategies that transform environmental conceptions, habits and perspectives, as well as the protection and value enhancement of both natural and cultural resources. through an education that contributes to a sustainable future. These are aimed at an observatory of sustainable development whose main objective is to serve as an instrument of reflection and participation with the purpose of guiding the appropriate decision making towards the wetland. |
