Description
Résumé:The objective of this research was to evaluate the influence of tutoring height combined with different planting distances, on the productivity of cucumber cultivation. the height of tutoring was studied at 1,5; 1,8 and 2,1 m combined with the distance of plants at 1,5 x 0,2 and 1,2 x 0,3 m. A complete randomized block design (RCBD) was used (in order to block the plant height at the time of the transplantation,) three repetitions were carried out per treatment. The variables studied were: Plant height (cm) at 10, 20 and 30 days after the transplantation, numbers of guides at 25 and 40 days after the transplantation, weight production in kg and number of commercial fruits per parcel. The data were analyzed by using analysis of variance. The results of that statistical analysis showed differences during the first 10 days after the transplantation, being staking at 1,5 m which won a greater height with 0,1 m, subsequent tests showed no statistical differences. The tutored at 1,8 m was which presented the higher averages with 3,9 guides/plant and 19,73 Kg/parcel. The variable production per plot did not show statistical differences. In respect with the economic analysis treatments T4 and T5 it was found them as the reflection of a profit of 3.83 dollars per each dollar invested in the production of cucumber.
