Beskrivelse
Summary:The objective of this research was to evaluate the incidence of timber species in the quality of life of the inhabitants of the microcatchment Carrizal river. It was implemented as non-experimental research, applying techniques and methods such as observation, survey, field visits and georeferencing. The results showed that 23 timber species could be identified in the three fields, Balsa (Ochroma pyramidale) with 25% of abundance, Fernán Sánchez (Triplaris guayaquilensis) with 19%, Teak (Tectona grandis) with 73 individuals were identified which correspond to 6% of its distribution, being these three or two species, the most dominant in the micro watershed, a comparison was made between the Shannon and Margaleff index to verify the rate of richness and abundance, the obtained results were favorable towards the zone of Research according to the rates that were used Shannon 0,83 and Margaleff 15,15 throwing a high level of wealth and abundance in timber species. It was possible to identify 7 indicators of timber species (socioeconomic, socio-cultural, stability and conservation, stability and risk distribution, adaptability and conservation, self-management and government participation), determining the quality of life of the inhabitants of the communities studied. Within the research, it was verified that the timber species had great importance within usage, favoring their economy and their lifestyle. The results were correlated to the quality of life and indicators of timber species; in the remaining forests and secondary can be observed to maintain a low relation in the quality of inhabitants’ life and the bank of the Carrizal river.
