Итог: | This study will detail the main aspects of emotional intelligence, being relevant in the development of people, knowing their emotions and making use of them for the ideal interaction with others, this research seeks to diagnose interpersonal emotional intelligence in performance work of public servants of the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí Manuel Félix López to determine the degree of intelligence and guide activities towards the improvement of the interpersonal emotional intelligence of said individuals. In the first instance, an observation sheet was applied to analyze the work environment where the collaborators carry out their activities, additionally, an informal interview was carried out with the director of human talent to learn about relevant aspects that in their perception affect their managers, in addition, it was used a construct based on dimensions and indicators through ordinal scales to the population of 130 administrative servants, for the validation and reliability of said instrument, Cronbach's Alpha was used with results for emotional intelligence of 0.978 and 0.974 respectively to job performance, and in turn, for the correlation of the variables, Sperman's Rho was applied, having the value of 0.408 over one and a bilateral significance of 0.188, showing the median correlation between the two variables. The results of the survey reflect several blunders in the indicators that were evaluated, which is why it is essential to apply strategies to improve emotional intelligence and its impact on job performance. |
