Etiketle | Özet: | The development of this project was aimed at implementing an operating systems laboratory with a LTSP (Linux Terminal Server Project) network server and slim clients in the School of Computer Science, at the Escuela Superior Politécnica Agropecuaria de Manabí Manuel Félix López, for optimizing the reuse of equipment disused by Top Down Network Design which implied a 4-phase methodology. In its first stage, the analysis and diagnosis of disused computers and the selection of suitable ones for the implementation of the laboratory was conducted, for the enforcement of the second stage, it was developed a star network topology by establishing the server connection to the switch access points that sends information over IP (Internet Protocol) to the client computers, in the third stage, the UBUNTU OS 10.04 LTS was installed on the server, as well as the configuration of the terminal by using commands that downloaded files and image packages required for slim clients, in the last stage, the respective tests showed the availability of 92% of computers and their peripherals, which made it possible to reuse 73%, getting a total of 5 ones that make up the operating systems lab for the School of computer Science. |
