The pH decreased with the increase of the acetic acid dose with the T3 being the lowest value with 3.6, similar condition occurred in the CFU (3.9) and cortisol (1.47 nm) variables. The weight gain is influenced by the application of acetic acid with T1 being the best until the fourth week, on the fifth T2, and on the sixth, T0 presents the highest average. The best accumulated weekly weight was achieved by T1 with 2280.8 g on the sixth week. In the conversion of accumulated food, T1 obtained the lowest average with 2.05. Regarding the performance of the channel T3 had the highest weight with 1993.2 g. The cost-benefit ratio resulted with a minimum profit margin in the treatments, with the highest gain T1 ($ 0.10). It is concluded that the use of acetic acid in concentrations higher than 1 mL / L in the water was a viable alternative to reduce the bacterial load in broiler chickens. |

Se utilizó un diseño completamente al azar, teniendo como tratamientos: T0 (testigo), T1 (0,50 mL/L), T2 (1 mL/L) y T3 (1,50 mL/L). Los datos se evaluaron mediante análisis de varianza utilizando el software Infostat. El pH disminuyó con el aumento de la dosis de ácido acético siendo el T3 en valor más bajo con 3,6 similar condición sucedió en las variables UFC (3,9) y cortisol (1,47 nm). La ganancia de peso está influida por la aplicación de ácido acético siendo el T1 el mejor hasta la cuarta semana, en la quinta el T2 y en la sexta el T0 presenta el mayor promedio. El mejor peso semanal acumulado lo alcanzó el T1 con 2280,8 g en la sexta semana. En la conversión de alimento acumulado el T1 obtuvo el menor promedio con 2,05. En lo concerniente a rendimiento de la canal el T3 presentó el mayor peso con 1993,2 g. La relación costo beneficio obtenida resultó con mínimo margen de ganancia en los tratamientos, siendo el de mayor ganancia T1 ($ 0,10).
