要約:The employment of university graduate students is a problem in the generality of the countries of the world and Ecuador does not escape this situation. In the province of Manabí there are indications that graduates in tourism, for the most part, do not work, much less in the tourism sector. The main objective of this research has the objective of studying the labour insertion of tourism graduates from the state universities of the province of Manabí; and its specific objectives of studying theoretical background, method selection, prior diagnosis to identify problems and solution strategies. The methodology used was developed in three phases: study of the background of research, collecting bibliographic material; subsequently methodological and diagnostic development, applying surveys considering the sample size with known population, in addition to interviews; culminating in the proposal and improvement strategies. The results achieved showed that the absence of information on the subject was notorious; the study of existing regulations found that there are no stringent legislations that contribute to a true location and/or protection of graduates; there are no vacancies or jobs according to the profile obtained; Private tourism companies are very located in three cantons, Puerto López, Manta and Portoviejo, this causes that it is scarce the possibility of employment in the rest of the cantons. The ventures in the tourism sector of the province have been very limited, which does not allow an offer in the tourist labour market, finally 33.11% of graduates are unemployed and 46.20% do not work in the profile for which they prepared, denoting this a social problem in the territory and the country. Proposals are also made to help the solution of the subject studied.
